Horizon Fitness Elliptical
Anyone have a review of the Epic E950 elliptical?

I was looking at the Horizon EX-44 elliptical (and still # 1 on my list), but I found the online brand Epic with a model that offers a wake-adjustable (18-20 "), height and tilt adjustable (10-30%), but I could not find any comments from the machine. Additional research has found they are manufactured by Icon Health & Fitness (http://www.iconfitness.com/) whose brands include Nordictrack, Weider, Pro-Form, Healthrider, Reebok, Golds Gym and others. In fact it seems that Reebok is under too that Reebok RL 900 Elliptical. I found the machine at this link: Someone http://www.epicfit.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product2_10651_10101_16151_-1_12004 he bought / used the machine and if so, have you noticed that you can offer? I like the concept of adjustable tilt and 18-20 stride length "But I do not like to jump into a pool without checking for water first.

In general, any product manufactured by Icon Fitness will be of inferior quality, even the more expensive units. Based on what I see here in our repair shop /, units tend to last less than a year before needing major bug fixes. The units used for Reebok to be great, but once they Icon support the quality decreased greatly. The adjustable pitch on the epic is dubious at best .. It is designed to try to replicate what do with their bikes SportsArt Adjustable elliptical, but with quality parts and workmanship. I would avoid the epic and stick with Horizon, New Balance (Even if the units are very long), or Spirit-Schwinn. treadmill Sensei www.treadmillsensei.com
