Help fix my Life Fitness 9500HR Cross elliptical. The computer screen console does not turn on.?

I have a Life Fitness 9500HR elliptical cross-trainer. It has not been used for about a year and now the computer does not turn on. Someone help me solve this problem?

maybe change the batteries? check that the son arent shorted.
