One of the main obstacles to remain on track for fitness is losing motivation. People just beginning an exercise program can find quickly tired of the same routine. Keeping exercise appealing and maintaining a perspective of fitness is the key to success long term.

If you look at the exact same episode of your favorite TV show every day for the rest of your life, you'd probably banging their heads against the wall by the end of the week. You want to change the channel, take a book or do whatever we could to avoid any something you once enjoyed.

fitness trainer career

The growing interest in fitness and health, it is a great time to take the plunge and become a personal trainer.

There gyms and training centers for men and women (and two together) are springing up everywhere. A couple of years I have been the only personal trainer in this rural area, but now there are a few more miles and yet my small business has not felt the pinch and is still growing.

The reasons are many but the main one is the recognition that the fit is a lifestyle more healthy and less prone to disease and disability as physical inactivity, overweight, sit-on-your-butt-all-lifestyle day seems to be everywhere.

Personal trainer / fitness professional career, what to take to college?

Hey guys just wondering since im going to have a career in Personal Training / Fitness professionals, what should I take in college that applies in this career, thank you =)

First find a four-year college that has an exercise science / Exercise Physiology major. The classes you need to be set up to receive Your BS / BA. Classes include Exercise Science, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, biology, chemistry, exercise programming, training, etc.. When you finish your 4th degree year, I look to be taking the national forces and Conditioning Association and American College of Sports Medicine Certifications because it is the most respected organizations in the field. Good luck with school and make sure you choose your college counselor to help you your approach.

PLEASE HELP … Is it difficult to obtain employment as a personal trainer in Michigan?

Moving to the suburbs Detroit Metro Area (near Nice), Michigan, wondering if there are many jobs in this area as a fitness / personal trainer. Looked on all job sites and found nothing! Anyone know a place that is fairly easy to take because I just got certified, and also how much they pay their employees?

You found nothing because there are no jobs in Michigan right now and there has been no shortly after 9 / 11. Our ads have spent 2-3 full pages about 4 ads total (as 1 / 50 page). It's ridiculous. Michigan is # 1 in unemployment.
